Cultured Catering, LLC started as a business in the spring of
2003 with two founding partners, Daniel Groves and Clint
Jones.  The first event catered by the two gentlemen was a
local wedding reception with 125 guests and featured menu
items such as crab-stuffed shrimp and chocolate-covered
strawberries.  The event was catered as a favor for a close
friend.  The initial response to the food and presentation was
so overwhelming that a plan for the future was made
immediately that day and an official partnership was
developed shortly thereafter.

Since that initial event, Cultured Catering, LLC has enjoyed
continued growing success and gained valuable experience
in the food service industry, specifically in the catering
arena.  The company was built on hard work and dedication
by the partners with a very limited budget for start-up costs,
licenses, and fees.  The company’s success will only evolve
as it consistently operates with little overhead and very low
food and labor costs.

Officially, Cultured Catering is a limited liability company with
the two aforementioned partners sharing equal ownership
and responsibilities.  

Daniel Groves started work in the food service industry with
McDonald’s while still in high school.  He continued in the
industry by working as a short-order cook for both a local
rafting company as well as a regional fine dining resort.  
Daniel received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in
the Culinary Arts from Wheeling, West Virginia.  While
enrolled, Daniel worked at Ogleby, a fine dining resort which
provided valuable experience in full service catering.  Since
graduation, Daniel has perfected his culinary skills in various
venues of food service.  Combined, he boasts twelve years
of food service experience.

Clint Jones started out as a fast food employee through high
school.  He worked at several food service establishments
throughout college including dine in restaurants and several
bars and grills.  He was part of the opening staff at the 20th
Street Bar and Grill in Huntington, West Virginia where he
helped design the layout of the kitchen and menu.  He also
successfully owned and operated a small town diner for two
years.  Clint also served as the kitchen manager for
Applebees.  Overall, Clint has a combined fourteen years
experience in the food service industry.
